Michael and Edeward emigrated in 1849 and were brothers but this is not verified. Edward is known to have married Catherine Downey in County Limerick and to have perhaps had some issue before his emigration to Canada. Edward's daughter Flora, who as born in Canada, believed that she had a sibling or siblings in Ireland who remained there when her parents emigrated. Information gleaned from a Edward Trant of Foynes indicathat his grandmother was Johanna Commane of Moneymohill. Mr Trant is known to be related to the Command/Commane family of Canada.
